Why are you striving these days?

Why are you trying to earn grace?

Romans 11:6 But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works, otherwise grace is no longer grace. 

Why are you crying?
Let me lift up your face, just don't turn away

1 Chronicles 16:11 Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.

Why are you looking for love?
Why are you still searching as if I'm not enough?

1 John 4:7-10 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.  The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love.  By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him.  In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

To where will you go child?
Tell me where will you run, to where will you run?

Speaking to Jesus, John 6:68 Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life.

'cause I'll be by your side wherever you fall

Psalm 37:24  When he falls, he will not be hurled headlong, Because the LORD is the One who holds his hand.

In the dead of night whenever you call

Psalm 88:1  O LORD, the God of my salvation, I have cried out by day and in the night before You.

And please don't fight these hands that are holding you

2 Chronicles 13:12  "Now behold, God is with us at our head and His priests with the signal trumpets to sound the alarm against you. O sons of Israel, do not fight against the LORD God of your fathers, for you will not succeed."

My hands are holding you

Isaiah 41:10 'Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous righthand.'

Look at these hands at my side

John 20:27 Then He [Jesus] said to Thomas, "Reach here with your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand and put it into My side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing."

They swallowed the grave on that night

1 Corinthians 15:54-57 But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, "DEATH IS SWALLOWED UP in victory. "O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR VICTORY? O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR STING?" The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law;  but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 

When I drank the world's sin

About Jesus in 1 Peter 2:24 and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.

So I could carry you in and give you life

I wanna give you life

1 John 5:11 And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.

And I'll be by your side wherever you fall

Psalm 145:14 The LORD sustains all who fall And raises up all who are bowed down.

In the dead of night whenever you call

1 John 5:14 This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

And please don't fight these hands that are holding you

Proverbs 21:30 There is no wisdom and no understanding And no counsel against the LORD.

My hands are holding you

Psalm 13:10 Even there Your hand will lead me, And Your right hand will lay hold of me.

'Cause I love you, I want you to know

John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.

That I love you, I'll never let you go

Deuteronomy 31:8 "The LORD is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed."

And I'll be by your side wherever you fall

Psalm 146:8 The LORD opens the eyes of the blind; The LORD raises up those who are bowed down; The LORD loves the righteous;

In the dead of night whenever you call

Luke 18:7  now, will not God bring about justice for His elect who cry to Him day and night, and will He delay long over them?

And please don't fight these hands that are holding you

Acts 11:17 "Therefore if God gave to them the same gift as He gave to us also after believing in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could stand in God's way?"

My hands are holding you

Isaiah 42:6 "I am the LORD , I have called You in righteousness, I will also hold You by the hand and watch over You, And I will appoint You as a covenant to the people, As a light to the nations,"
