Ten Commandments Children's Bible Lesson

Image
Do you need a fun way to teach children the story of God giving Moses the Ten Commandments, what they are, and what their purpose was and is? With hands-on activities, printables, active games, and fun crafts? And multiple ways of processing the Ten Commandments for different types of learners and ages. The activities use shortened versions of the Ten Commandments and symbols to help kids remember them. The same symbols and wording for the shortened commandments are used across all of the activities. The wording I used for the commandments is listed below: No other God No idols  Don’t swear  Rest on Sabbath  Obey parents  Don’t murder  Honor marriage  Don’t steal  Don’t lie  Don’t be jealous This lesson includes links to songs on YouTube and links to printables to be used in the craft. There are also finger puppets for each commandment that work great if you have them memorize the commandments.  They also work great for the kids ...

Bible Verses for Best Gift of All Thou Hast Bestowed

Today's hymn of Thanksgiving is relatively unknown, but I just love its content.  Each verse focuses on a different thing for which we should thank God. If you aren't feeling particularly grateful, you can reflect on this hymn and the thanksgiving will overflow.  As an obscure hymn, I knew I wouldn't find a video of it, but here is a video of the tune  by Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina  that is used for this song. My Favorite Sources for Artwork for Bible Crafts

Image
Do you create your own children's Sunday School lessons or like to supplement your curriculum with your own craft but are not artistic?  Here is where I find most of my visuals for crafts and storytelling. My Wonder Studio My Wonder Studio has the cutest Bible pictures and they have multiple resources for lots of stories. This is my absolute favorite for Bible people!  Of course, you could always be creative and use their images for other Bible stories.  The picture above from the resurrection story could also be used for the story about the centurion whose servant was healed.  I especially love their Be The Artist series that lets you parts together to create scenes.  These would be great for adding moving parts with brads or a slider with a straw and some string. My Little House My Little House has similarly cute Bible pictures to My Wonder Studio except it has less 2D content.  However, it has 3D figures and build...
