Books of the Bible Memory Aids

I was teaching my own kids the Books of the Bible but saw a need for some resources. There are some decent flashcards, but I was looking for something that coordinated colors and symbols across flashcards, signs, and other processing activities. As a Sunday School teacher and parent, I recognized the need for engaging resources to teach the Books of the Bible to children and teens. In response, I created a set of coordinated flashcards, signs, and worksheets.   Flashcards The great things about flashcards are all of the ways that you can use them. Obviously, they can put the cards in order, but that is just the start. One thing that teachers do to help students is to "chunk" information into smaller groups so that students only have to process that smaller amount of information. So you can pull out only one section of the Bible. For example, pull out the OT History books) which is easy since the cards are color-coded by section so all the OT History cards are turquoise. Then,...

Deuteronomy 11:20 says, "You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates," The Bible encourages us to have Bible verses hung around our house. What better place to put God's Word than on the lock screen of your phone! How many times a day do you already look there? Also, it's readily available to look at quickly when you are working on memorizing a Bible verse. Here are some of my favorite Bible verses for your phone's lock screen.  If you are looking for any specific Bible verses that you would like to have on your lock screen, comment below and I will try to add it. More Bible Verse Lock Screens: Click on the images below for more lock screens or you can go on my Google drive and find all of my Bible verse lock screens and download as many as you would like to your phone. I put all of my lock screens in a folder on my phone so I can easily find them to switch between them.

God's Word is vital to our spiritual health. In order to use it properly, Christians should memorize the Bible (hiding it in their hearts), ponder it throughout the day (meditating on it), and obeying it (being doers and not just hearers).  Psalms 119:11 Your word I have treasured in my heart, that I may not sin against You. Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success. James 1:25 But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does. One way to have God's Word before us throughout the day is to put Bible verses on your smartphone's lock screen or wallpaper. Then, whenever you unlock your phone or even just check the time, yo...
