Bible Verses to Precious Precious Blood of Jesus

While recently studying the blood of Jesus and its effect on those who believe , I was struck by this hymn that I had sung many times before. It really lined up with what I was learning in my Bible study . Each verse seemed to highlight one of the Bible verses I had looked at.  "Precious, Precious Blood of Jesus" was written by Frances R. Havergal. It was published in Havergal's  Loyal Responses: Or, Daily Melodies for the King's Minstrels in 1882.  She wrote many familiar and beloved songs, such as " Like a River Glorious ," " Take My Life And Let It Be ," and  " I Gave My Life For Thee ." Her love for Jesus and her gratitude for His death to provide her salvation shines through in her poems and songs. I was introduced to this song in Hymns of Grace and Truth , but I later discovered that some of the verses had been altered. Bible Study on The Blood of Jesus

Have you ever wondered what the blood of Jesus in His sacrifice for us accomplishes? You can find out for yourself by looking at these Bible verses about Jesus' blood and seeing what it does, to whom, how, and why (not all verses will have answers for every category). It is Jesus that we worship. His blood is just a symbol of His life and reminds us of His death for us. My Favorite Hymns about God's Love

For Valentine's Day, I was going to do a hymn study on a hymn about God's love. God's love is the ultimate example of love.  His loving is giving, sacrificial, and gracious.  Our love can only hope to be a reflection of his agape love. Since I was unable to choose just one hymn, I have decided to share some of my favorites instead. And Can It Be? Bible Scavenger Hunts

We recently had a Sunday School picnic at our house and I needed a large group game.  I wanted to do a scavenger hunt and decided to include Bible clues.  So I used biblestudytools.com (or I could have gotten old school and pulled out my concordance) and searched in the Bible for objects that were in my yard.  I started with door, tree, and table.  Then, I remembered sand, steps, porch, flowers, and even herbs.  Finally, I got a little creative and used "shed" and "mail." To play the game, give the teams their first clue.  They should fill in the blank in the Bible verse.  The word in the blank is where they should go next.  When they get there, they should find the next clue.  They should continue following the clues until they get to the final location.
