Bible Verses to Forever

For praise and worship songs, there are few that display thankfulness more than Chris Tomlin's Forever.  In fact, I'm sure this song will be sung in many churches during this season of Thanksgiving.  And the song definitely reflects many of the psalms of thanksgiving in Scripture.

Forever

Verse 1:
Give thanks to the Lord our God and King,
His love endures forever.
For He is good He is above all things,

Psalm 136:1 Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, or His lovingkindness is everlasting.

Psalm 97:9 For You are the Lord Most High over all the earth; You are exalted far above all gods.

Sing Praise, Sing Praise.

Psalm 68:4 Sing to God, sing praises to His name; Lift up a song for Him who rides through the deserts, whose name is the Lord, and exult before Him.

Verse 2:
With a mighty hand and outstretched arm,
His love endures forever.

Psalm 136:10-12 To Him who smote the Egyptians in their firstborn, for His lovingkindness is everlasting, and brought Israel out from their midst, for His lovingkindness is everlasting, with a strong hand and an outstretched arm, For His lovingkindness is everlasting.

For the life that's been reborn,
His love endures forever.

1 Peter 1:3-5 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Psalm 30:4 Sing praise to the Lord, you His godly ones,and give thanks to His holy name.

Deuteronomy 7:9 Know therefore that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His lovingkindness to a thousandth generation with those who love Him and keep His commandments;

Forever God is strong.

Revelation 19:1 After these things I heard something like a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, “Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God;"

Forever God is with us,

Jesus said in Matthew 28:20 "teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

From the rising to the setting sun,
His love endures forever.

Psalm 113:3 From the rising of the sun to its setting the name of the Lord is to be praised.

And, by the grace of God, we will carry on,
His love endures forever.

Hebrews 13:9 Do not be carried away by varied and strange teachings; for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by foods, through which those who were so occupied were not benefited.
